  • Blackhall Publishing is pleased to announce that Marc Coleman's best-selling analysis of Ireland's economic future, The Best is Yet to Come is now on its second print run. Hailed as 'a lively and perceptive assessment of factors shaping our future as an economy and a people' by T.K. Whitaker and 'a timely, provocative and necessary analysis of the Irish condition' by Peter Sutherland, The Best is Yet to Come provides a stimulating and compelling argument that Ireland's economic boom is only just beginning.

  • The seventh edition of The Garda Síochána Guide will be released in April 2008. For the past seventy-four years, since the first edition was published in 1934,The Garda Síochána Guide has been a comprehensive and convenient user-friendly reference book of criminal law and statutes relevant to members of An Garda Síochána, the legal profession and others interested in the administration of the law. Seventeen years have passed since the sixth edition was published in 1991. The huge volume of new legislation that has been enacted in the interim has made that edition almost obsolete and the publishing of this new edition absolutely necessary.
This seventh edition of the Guide, while retaining the original alphabetical arrangement and style, appears for the first time in a loose-leaf format and in two volumes. It is also available for the first time on CD-ROM.
This seventh edition of the Garda Guide runs to over 3,600 pages, which is indicative of the growth and development of the law which is taking place at an unprecedented rate and which members of An Garda Síochána and other law professionals need to be familiar with.

  • Blackhall Publishing is pleased to announce the publication, on 15 January 2008, of Hanging On and Letting Go: The Art of Real Delegation by Tom McConalogue. In this invaluable guide for bosses everywhere, Tom McConalogue shows how consistent and proactive delegation can help create more time for managers to concentrate on long-term projects, while at the same time getting the best out of their staff. Delegation is about hanging on to what you want to let go of - responsibility, and letting go of what you want to hang on to - control.
